YMCA Programming

The YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh, in partnership with the Montour School District is proud to continue to offer families Before and After School Enrichment programs at the Montour Elementary School.  The YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh after school program provides more than just homework help and a healthy snack. For generations, the Y has dedicated its work to providing a safe, healthy and engaging environment for kids to learn, grow and thrive. The Y creates a positive environment where children can be creative, expand their horizons, challenge themselves and find comfort in our nurturing approach to youth development.  Through engaging & hands on evidence-based curriculum and several collaborative partnerships in the community within the fields of STEM, Arts and Literacy the YMCA is able to provide a unique youth centered experience.  The Y is committed to providing excellence in our Before and After School Enrichment programs through participation in the Keystone Stars Quality Initiative, Department of Human Services state licensing and YMCA best practices.  The Western Area YMCA is One Y For All where we are for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Every day we work to close the achievement gap, eliminate health disparities and provide aid to financially struggling families.  At the Y, everyone is welcome.
