Yesterday was a prime example of the importance of District / Parent communication. We experienced an incident that required an early dismissal and we notified all parents/guardians via home phone, cell phone, text messaging and website.
Many have reached out requesting receipt of text messages. Please know that method will require some initiative on your part. If you wish to receive text communications regarding your child’s school, you will need to go into Skyward Family Access and set up as described below ...
To receive notifications you need to enter Skyward Family Access:
- Click “My Account” in the top right corner.
- On the “Account Settings” page, click the drop down box and select “Cell” next to the second phone number field.
- Once you select “Cell” enter your cell number into the field and click “Save”.
- You will then receive pertinent information from the district regarding events, theme days, delays, general reminders, etc.
